Deleting a Registry Backup


Backup files are always created before the Windows Registry is modified in using PC Medic to correct your PC errors. This helps protect against things such as a potential mistake in choosing to delete files that actually are needed or wanted. You have the option to restore old registry versions.

However, should there come a day when YOU ARE SURE that you will NEVER want to see those old versions again, and you want to clean out those unnecessary backup files in order to have more hard drive space available, all you need to do is the following:

Click RESTORE shown in the left-hand tab column of the PC Medic window.


Select the backup file that you wish to remove from your system.


Click the REMOVE button at the bottom.
