Scan & Repair is the starting point for using PC Medic. This one area provides easy access to all the other tools and easy one-click scans and repairs. If you want to use PC Medic in a more hands-on, manual way, skip this area and go to each individual tool directly. Otherwise, most users prefer using Scan & Repair All.
Scanning
Just click “Scan My PC” to get started with a new scan. PC Medic will scan five different areas that can be cleaned. Once the scan is finished, you can explore each area to learn more about what issues were found.
Repairs
Once you’ve reviewed your scan results (and unchecked any items you don’t want to repair) you’re ready to repair. Just click “Repair Issues” and PC Medic will take care of the rest.
Backups
Don’t worry about backups, PC Medic automatically backs up all registry issues before they are cleaned and saves your original optimizations settings if you want to restore either one. You can find registry backup in the Registry Cleaner tool under the Backups tab.
Clean these six areas:
1) Registry CLeaner: Find settings and registry keys which are invalid, broken, or unused.
2) Disk Cleaner: Gives you easy access to clean temp files and junk off your hard drives.
3) PC Optimizer: Optimizes hidden settings and configurations to help boost performance.
4) Startup Items: Lets you disable unwanted items that start up when your computer turns on.
5) Browser Add-ons: Lets you disable unwanted add-ons that can clog your web browser.
6) My Defragmenter: Gives you easy access to defrag your hard drive for improved disk speed.
