Schedule Tab
Your computer will remember the first time you run PC Medic and set that particular hour and minute as the "default" schedule for running a scan. Every day, your PC will be scanned at the same "default time."
But PC Medic can also scan your PC on YOUR schedule, at YOUR convenience by following these easy steps:
- Click the SETTINGS tab to the left
- Select the SCHEDULE tab at the top
- Click the Schedule Task drop-down menu
- Select your most convenient schedule options (Daily or Specific Days)
- Select a time that works for you
- Click the UPDATE button at the bottom and your PC will now run scans at your selected times

If you are unsure of which times might be the best times to schedule a scan, you may want to put some thought into what times of the day your computer will be turned on but not in actual use.
The scanning process can slow down the performance of your PC, so it is best to set the schedule to a time when you know that you will not be doing any kind of work or activities that would be affected by this.
Also, as mentioned before, sometimes anti-virus programs can leave unwanted registry files in your system so you could schedule your PC Medic scans for a time set just AFTER your anti-virus scheduled scans. That way, any lingering anti-virus fragments get cleaned up!
You may also want to consider the necessary frequency of running scans. Scheduling a daily scan might be best if you are a heavy user who spends several hours a day online, downloading software and other files. However, if you would consider yourself a light user, then it may be only necessary to run scans 1 or 2 times a week.
